ARTIST STATEMENT

Kelly is a London-based multi-disciplinary artist, who specialises in sculpture. The objects and materials manipulated in the artist’s practice are often discarded or overlooked, and often have a likeness to the human form.

Sleep's recent works investigate notions of anthropomorphism, body mechanics and human behaviours, realised by using hacked electronics and reworked objects as surrogates for parts of the body. The performative and mechanical nature of the work means that the work is not only extended in space, but in time also.
